Share the Blessing 2025

"the light shines through the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it!" John 1:5

Share the Blessing 2025

"Light" was our message for Share the Blessing 2025. The message of Light is welcome in darkness. For Christmas, 32 hampers, 67 Encouragement packages & 23 Outreach packages were prepared and delivered. Our team took the time to pray with recipients & share the message of light.

Prayers were answered and we heard of people being healed. In one situation the patient had tests after concern of a diagnosis. With the results, the Doctor told the patient, “You just received a miracle.” Many people responded emotionally, thankful that we had remembered them as they walk through this difficult season in their lives. Volunteers often say they are as blessed as those receiving. It is a very busy time but very rewarding as well as a blessing to us. One volunteer said, "I came away feeling blessed at being able to be a part of lives that may not have the sense of family & close connections. I was amazed at how much they appreciate all that is being done for them."

Our ministry is relationship based. Real relationships are fostered within our team is key to our outreach with the various agencies & those they serve. We create events to provide opportunity for relationship with those in our community. When we go out to outreaches, the truth of God is always declared in word & song. It's always done in an encouraging & inviting way...blessing the recipients. Discipleship takes place with our team as we come together to carry out the ministry - preparing & serving in the community. We are conscious of the gift of time given by volunteers. We are respectful of this in scheduling work and show honor and appreciation for work accomplished. There are 200 Scriptures written which refer to caring for those in need, which is what our mandate of Loving Grande Prairie…Serving the People is based on.

Ministering in our Community

We know Community Outreach has impacted people in the community as we see them sometimes a period of time later and they update us on where they are now and express how the encounter impacted them. *One example of this is a lady who reached out to me on messenger. She had been at an outreach event 18 years ago. She said...us coming that night was like a bridge to a new world. She remembered our names and had journaled several pages that night. She was reaching out to us now - 18 years later to see if we could do the same type of evening at the new building where she was living! Wow!

Caring for those in Need is our Mandate: Loving Grande Prairie...Serving the people

Celebrating 25 Years in 2025!
