CFA has been sending missions teams to partner with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) Haiti since 2010. The focus of YWAM is to train up and equip Haitians to minister to other Haitians and to help communities develop ways to create sustainability as a way to help end poverty.

Our Story:
Just six months after the 2010 earthquake, we sent our first team to Haiti and we have been back four more times with a focus on bringing hope, humanitarian aid, and a desire to see Haiti and its people whole again. We have purchased and installed two playgrounds, built six Homes of Hope, built two school classrooms, painted a church and  provided hygiene items to over 1500 prisoners. This is all thanks to the generosity of people like yourself who continue to support our fundraising efforts!

Facts about Haiti: *Haiti shares the island of Hispaniola with the Dominican Republic. *Despite being about a two-hour flight from Miami, it is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. About 80% of the population lives below the poverty line, which is defined as living on less than $1.00 US per day. 

Although we have not been able to travel to the country in recent years, we continue to partner with Youth With A Mission in St. Marc, Haiti in a variety of ways.

Update 2025

Since we have not been able to travel to Haiti, we found a way to help those in the country on a very concrete way.

If you remember, this was a dream this time last year, but now “Sponsor a Haitian YWAM Staff Member” has become a reality! How? By fundraising support for Haitian YWAM Staff members who were struggling to pay their monthly Base fees. Our church family raised over $17,000.00 through sponsorships and honey sales, which means Jeff Jean-Baptiste, Marc Donald & Rolanda Orneus , Mendjina Julina Toussaint, and Hugueson Joseph have their Base fees covered for an entire year!

We are so grateful to God and our church family for their heart-felt generosity.

And that’s not all! We had record sales for our Fudge for Christmas fundraiser this year. With your help, we sold 726 lbs of fudge (sold out twice!) and raised record funds of $17,108 for Haiti Mission!

We are grateful we can continue to develop real relationships with those who are so far away. We have developed real relationship through our shared love of Jesus and our desire to serve Him with whatever gifts, talents and resources He has given us. As well, this church family has come together to show exceptional stewardship by giving so freely and generously to those in need.

Those serving our Lord in an impoverished country which is in a state of chaos can have the strongest faith and hope for what is yet to come.

Pray for wisdom and the leading of our Lord to determine how we continue to partner with those in Haiti.
